Palomata Recipe

Ingredients

1 medium onion, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons Italian seasoning

4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Directions

Whisk together the onion and salt. The vegetables for the mix should be nearly transparent. Heat the syrup in a small saucepan and let it simmer overnight. When ready to use, dump the vegetables into 1 teaspoon of more flour. Spread 1/2 cup of the mixture onto the bottom half of plastic slides of aluminum foil. I changed the proportions on the ingredients and instead of using raisins, I purchased blueberries and seeded. I also substituted one cup of the flour with whole wheat flour. I could not have added enough raisins because they are so small. I might like this with plain old raisins.
