1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
2 teaspoons coarse salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Drop pound of ground beef into a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain well.
In a small bowl, mix the onions, celery, salt, pepper, garlic, celery powder, salt and pepper. Mix all together and transfer mixture to a medium bowl to cool thoroughly.
In a separate medium bowl, mix the onion mixture, celery, Italian seasoning and salt; pour into patty mixture.
Roast beef patty in preheated oven for about 10 minutes, turning once, until browned on all sides. Remove patty from oven and allow to cool completely.
Arrange meat patty in a single layer in a large shallow baking dish. Pour marinade in pan and stir for about 15 minutes to coat meat thoroughly.
Remove meat from marinade and set aside to cool completely. Cut into 1 inch cubes.
Return food processor to medium. Garlic and onion for garnish.
