1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
In a small bowl, mix sugar, nutmeg, mayonnaise, and cheese. Cover, refrigerate until ice is set. Spread over a large serving serving dish.
Return the remaining half cup sugar mixture to a medium saucepan and heat gently. Spread over the top of the dip, and chill in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
