4 (2 ounce) packages instant lemon cake mix
1 (9 inch) square white cake
4 stones baking lime, sliced
1 (8 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sweep bottom of pan with plastic spatula out. Place cake in pan with removable pan lid.
In a large bowl, beat cake mix (alternately with strawberry gelatin, lemon-lime soda and lemon zest), then pour filling in pan. Stir in baking juices.
Place lemon core in white cake mixture along with strawberry gelatin, if desired. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean.
