1/2 cup butter, softened
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, cream together butter, cream cheese, sugar, eggs and milk. Mix to form a meringue. Stir in vanilla, milk and flour. Gradually beat in flour, mixing just until moistened. Mix in baking powder and baking soda, mixing until well blended.
Shape mixture into a thick paste or ribbon. Form into 1-inch squares. Place 1-inch squares in greased 12-inch pan. Spread 3/4 cup of meringue over meringue squares. Refrigerate until set and serving.
