1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound lean beef chuck
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 cup beef broth
3 onions, chopped
1 cup beef bouillon granules, crushed
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons dried beef bouillon granules
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
In a medium saucepan, melt oil over low heat. Stir in beef chuck and mushrooms; cook, stirring until beef is evenly browned. Stir in broth, cut side up, onions, mushrooms, beef bouillon, sugar, beef bouillon granules, salt, pepper, orange juice and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer for 2 hours stirring occasionally.
