1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 (16 ounce) can milk
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, divided
2 (6 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 2/3 cups (2-3) pans.
In a large bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Beat in oil, 1 cup at a time, until mixture is smooth. Beat in 1/2 cup butter, lightly beating frequently, until mixture is light and creamy. Beat in brown sugar alternately with vanilla. Stir in light brown sugar.
Stir in milk.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Cool completely.
