1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
2 1/2 cups pineapple juice
1 2/3 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour for climbing, optional
1 (3.5 ounce) package vanilla flavored Jell-O mix
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round pans.
In a large bowl, mix cake mix, orange juice and sugar. Mix in eggs, oil and vanilla flavor gelatin. Stir often. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake in the preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool for at least 10 minutes.
