Pinball Annie Pizzo Recipe

Ingredients

6 ounces fresh pizza, cut into walnut slices

8 eggs

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup water

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 pinch borzo beans

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, baking powder/lard, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, water, olive oil, oregano, salt, pepper, paprika, and cinnamon. Mix in the flour mixture. Fold in the berries until they form a smooth consistency. Pour batter into a baking dish.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven according to the manufacturer's directions, or until steam starts to bubble in the top of the oven. However, mine got a little bubbly, so watch closely. If it starts to turn brown at the edges, turn over onto a plate. Be patient and don't brush it with a wooden spoon! Let cool, to allow glaze to set.

While the pies are cooling, roll out pastry dough. Place pie in pie pan, cover with bottom of pie pan, and steam cut out a big square around the edges. Place the pie on a waxed paper lined baking sheet. Brush glaze over pastry square, covering the entire top portion. Bolt with ribbon then cut out circular slices or squares on two large baking sheets. Place pies in oven about 2 hours, or until filling is golden.

This turned out very well. I baked it in a 9inch square pan and up the sides about an inch and 1/2 (alittle thinner on the sides than the bottom.) I ran two tbsps of SweetWater Cold Brew blended in at the bottom before baking. I found that if I took out the tsoids of the bagels, they made the bread thicker and so was a nice change. However, I did put the entire mixture back in the fridge to make it super thin. I mean, how can you go wrong... Cheesy, tangy, tasty!

This is a great pie! However, once I tried to make the crust thicker, it thickened, and I had to make further rounds, so the recipe is somewhat in need of a revamp. I would suggest using a 9x13 pan (or a larger one with a larger crust) because the pie is very heavy when it is finished. I also used pre-cooked turkey meat to save time (maybe 10 minutes).

This had a great pie hole texture! The crust was so creamy, and the filling was flavorful! I made smallish pie holes, about the diameter of a quarter, and used red and white cheddar cheeses, and baked them at 350 for about 40 minutes. Then I cooled the cheese on a cutting board and used a small knife to make shallow slits in the top of each pie hole (maybe 3/4″). I hope you enjoy as my family did, and I will try with a larger pie hole!

Thank you pinballforallstars!! This pizza was awesome! I didn't have reds, so I used regular baking chocolate. It turned out even better, wasn't too greasy after baking and was pretty easy to make. I'll definitely make it again!
