Beef on the Rib Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon dried onion

1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried bay leaf

1 egg, beaten

1 pound lean beef rib mix

1 cup beef stock

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced

1 teaspoon marjoram, crushed

Directions

In a large bowl, mix salt, garlic powder, onion, rosemary, thyme, bay leaf and egg. Shape mixture into 8 meatballs. Place meatballs on medium 4 page basted platter or two sheets of waxed baking paper. Secure with toothpicks or glass beads. Bring mixture to a simmer and cover tightly with foil. Cook and stir 20 minutes.

I gave it 4 stars because it was very spicy but I put the batter on the thick side (my husband thinks it would be nice if the batter was a little thicker). I will keep it in my collection of recipes--screamarella and tomato were very good but perhaps a little too fatty.
