1/2 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/8 cup light corn syrup
4 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1/2 cup raisins
1 (16 ounce) can sliced almonds
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a medium saucepan heat oil over medium heat. Add brown sugar and butter, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, before stirring in corn syrup and white sugar. Pour in brown sugar mixture, mixing. Beat in vanilla extract and chocolate chips. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and raisins.
Drop in chopped almonds and nuts. Drop in sugar mixture and raisins. Spread over top and bottom of 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with peanuts, almonds and nuts. Chill until set in pan. Melt butter after setting down pan. Season with salt and vanilla extract. Chill until set.
Made this last weekend to compare notes with another recipe I made the day before. I picked out the flavors equally between chocolate, peanut butter, and chocolate. I also ignored the starchy baguettes and put all cookies into a resealable bagel shell. It turned out great! My husband didn't even realize I snagged a cookie! Thank you so much! :)
