1 teaspoon fine wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/3 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon white sugar
In a blender or food processor, puree mincemeat. Set aside.
In a small bowl, mix fine wine vinegar with garlic powder (or olive oil if you like) and salt. Place over medium heat. Add water and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
Gradually pour 4 cups milk and 1 tablespoon olive oil into blender. Blend until smooth. Stir in vinegar to taste. Pour mixture into saucepan to cover and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Spoon mixture in a 2 quart saucepan, garnish with green onions and herbs. Bring to a slow boil. Remove pan from heat and place on rack for 15 minutes.
Return saucepan to medium heat. Cover saucepan and continue to simmer for about 15 minutes. Pour vinegar mixture over mincemeat and dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
