1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 large onion, diced
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 cups milk
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, water, butter, onion, chili powder, milk, salt and pepper. Bring mixture to a slow boil. Remove from heat and stir in garlic powder.
Return mixture to the heat. Slowly add chili seasoning and stir in 1/2 cup of the sugar. Simmer until spices are reduced, about 1 minute.
