2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Make the dough: Sift together the flour, butter, baking soda, brown sugar and 3 eggs into a small bowl.
Grease cookie sheets.
On a floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/8 inch in thickness. Cut into 1 inch squares with cookie cutters or cookie cutters and meringue powder. Place about 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. Flatten slightly and seal edges by molding with a fork.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
