6 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons lemon zest
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons lemon zest
2 cups sliced strawberries
1 (8 ounce) can frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and egg together until well blended. Beat in 2 cups butter. Stir in sugar, milk, vanilla, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Mix gently with an electric mixer bowl or spoon. Roll pastry into 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, until golden brown. Cool completely on wire rack.
