4 ounces prosciutto skin, sliced into 1/2 inch slices
4 ounces ground beef
2 eggs
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1 (18.5 ounce) package raw meatballs
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Saute 1 allspice-ground pound of prosciutto in a skillet over medium heat. Add the eggs and basil, and saute for 3 to 5 minutes, or until everything is well cooked.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine Parmesan and ground allspice, mixed with water. In a separate bowl, stir together the meatballs and the cubed prosciutto. Pour into the meatballs, and bake until the meatballs pop out the bottom, along with the cheese.
