3/4 cup salt
3 tablespoons paprika
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
4 ounces crumbled wheat bread
1 teaspoon dried basil
In a large bowl combine salt, paprika, and green bell pepper. Whisk well and set aside.
In a small oven bowl, combine potatoes, garlic, crust mixture, salt, and pepper. Spoon into the bowl and toss for a few minutes to adjust the concentration of the potato, garlic, and bread.
Pour the potato mixture into bowls and sprinkle the seasoning over bowls, wrapping and cutting each one into bite-sized portions. Spoon the mixture into 3 medium bowls or the shape of an oblong ball and smooth.
Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 2 hours.
