Old Time Souffle Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup margarine, softened

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups milk

1 cup reduced-fat sour cream

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 teaspoons dried basil

1 (1 ounce) square unsalted butter, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and cream cheese. Beat in the flour, then gradually blend in the milk. Stir in the sour cream and crushed oregano. Fold in the sage and salt.

Spread 1/4 cup of mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until steaks are opaque. Let cool at room temperature.

In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese mixture with the reduced fat sour cream. Mix in the butter and sprinkle mixture over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour.
