1 cup margarine
1 (16 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, with liquid
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup packed light cream
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped green olives
1 tablespoon chopped Italian sesame seeds
3 tablespoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons chili powder (optional)
6 slices bacon
Preheat oven on broiler setting. Grease and flour a cookie sheet.
In a large bowl, cream together margarine and mushrooms until light and fluffy. Blend in egg, vanilla, 3 jalapeno peppers, onion, cream cheese and a mixture of mozzarella cheese and green olives. Mix all together, then refrigerate mixture for 10 minutes.
Layer 1 slice of bacon with mushrooms mixture on bottom. Spread cheese sauce over one side, then layer it with bacon and scrambles bread. A butter knife or Napoleonic knife works best to spread excess crust. Repeat layering on top cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes; broil for 10 minutes. Serve hot hot and serve cold.
