Pumpkin Soup Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter

4 pinches salt

1 tablespoon bourbon

3 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice

6 cups milk

3 cups pumpkin puree

12 eggs, beaten

4 cups pumpkin puree

1 cup white sugar

1 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

In a large saucepan, melt butter and salt over medium heat. Add bourbon, sift while stirring, and stir until the sugar dissolves into the mixture. Remove from heat. Stir in pumpkin pie spice. Mix together milk, pumpkin, pumpkin puree, sugar, water, vanilla, brown sugar, and nutmeg. Stir carefully until the pumpkin mixture has dissolved.

Pour mixture into pie crust. Serve warm.

These weren't very good. I would say the color was due to human error; the jam was not bright enough. Plus, I didn't put in as much blue cheese as it said. Maybe next time I will make it a little less sugar and maybe freeze the jam longer to try and get it thick.
