3 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
6 cups milk
3 cups pumpkin puree
12 eggs, beaten
4 cups pumpkin puree
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
In a large saucepan, melt butter and salt over medium heat. Add bourbon, sift while stirring, and stir until the sugar dissolves into the mixture. Remove from heat. Stir in pumpkin pie spice. Mix together milk, pumpkin, pumpkin puree, sugar, water, vanilla, brown sugar, and nutmeg. Stir carefully until the pumpkin mixture has dissolved.
Pour mixture into pie crust. Serve warm.
