Caramel Schnitzel Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 1/2 cups butter, softened

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 tablespoons unsweetened chocolate syrup

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.

In a small saucepan, combine the confectioners' sugar, milk, butter, vanilla and chocolate syrup. Heat until well blended, about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Spread the chocolate mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Place the marshmallows over the chocolate mixture to garnish.

Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking for about 20 minutes more. Do not allow the marshmallows to brown on the top. Coolness should be achieved.

I wanted to give this poor soul a boost. I am in a bit of a crunchy portion and this gingerbread weight cookie was perfect. I will definately make it again!!
