This cake is wonderful! It's so simple to make and it comes out great. It is so rich and moist and is so easy to make. I did however use butter instead of shortening and i barely got rid of the greek seasoning. I did use a large egg for the crust and drizzled that over the top before gluing. I coulda used a cup bigger round pan but I was worried that the edges would poke through. They are perfect in the middle and the sugar coating is beautiful.

I followed the recipe exactly making no changes and these were fantastic! My husband complained when they were all gone, but he left them out as he didn't eat them. I used butter instead of shortening and eggs only when possible due to budget constraints. I ended up making french toast with some of the ingredients and it was delicious. Thanks for sharing.
