Triple Layer Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 (.25 ounce) package lemon flavored Jell-O mix

1 (8 ounce) can fruit punch

2 cups sour cream

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs, beaten

1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest

Directions

In a large bowl, whip together the gelatin and green food coloring while stirring.

Fill cake pan half way with the lemon gelatin. Pour remaining 4 teaspoons lemon juice over top. Pour remaining lemon juice over cake while whipping cream. Gently pull sides inward. Cover as necessary to even up edges.

Beat cream cheese and lemon zest in large bowl with electric mixer attachment until light. Beat in sour cream and cream cheese until fluffy. Pour into hot oven. Skim cake edges and cut slits into the sides. Bake 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until top is golden brown. Serve warm.
