2 pounds beef rump roast
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 pound bacon, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms with liquid
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons oil
8 ounces beef tenders
2 large onions, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
2 medium tomato pokes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix sugar, salt, flour and bacon. Make a well in the center and pour the melted butter into the center of the flour mixture. Mix thoroughly. Pour into the bottom of a large baking dish. Sprinkle with mushrooms and spread over the meat mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 1 hour. Turn the pokes from brown to amber and cook over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes. Pour the brown sauce over the meat meat mixture and serve hot, uncovered.
