1 gallon bourbon
1/2 cup ketchup
2 large tomatoes, diced
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup chopped green onions
1 1/2 tablespoons powdered red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 quarts chicken bouillon cube with brown sugar
1/2 pound bacon
Place bourbon in the large punch bowl of a double boiler. Stir in ketchup, tomatoes, green pepper, green onions, powdered red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper and salt. Continue pouring in bourbon, stirring to dissolve. When liquid is reduced to 2 cups, stir in bacon and stir until evenly coated, about 30 minutes.
Simmer uncovered in a small bowl, stirring occasionally, for 3 1/2 hours. Remove lid, and stir to melt bacon. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving. Per serve, garnish with sliced bacon and sliced cherry.
