1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons red food coloring
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 tablespoon dried sage
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Dip each pastry square in egg and milk to form a small dough.
Heat oil and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir egg, milk, oil and dill weed until mixture is thickened. Turn and continue cooking over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
Add sugar, red food coloring, salt, basil, marjoram and sage to pastry square. Place on a baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on wire rack. Serve warm.
