1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup quick cooking oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup crushed cornflakes cereal
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg, vanilla extract, white sugar, flour, baking soda and nutmeg until smooth. Stir in the oats, then stir in the flour and baking soda. Fold in the oats and cornflakes cereal. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
