1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and baking powder mixture; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and three eggs until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla. Stir in the pecans. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool completely on wire racks.
