Dana's Chili Recipe


4 pounds ground beef

1/2 pound minced onion

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon dried fenugreek seeds

1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce

2 tablespoons water

1/2 cup tomato juice

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram

1 teaspoon dried sage


In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and stir in onion and oregano. Sprinkle with basil and fenugreek seeds. Add tomato sauce, water, tomato juice, sugar, chili powder, paprika and oregano. Finally, add drained tomatoes. Cook, stirring often, until tomatoes are tender. Serve hot or cold.

i sprinkled common table salt on top roasting in the oven as it said and that was it BEST EVER!!!!!!! burned almost 200 calories in 30 minutes!!!! have not added parsley yet and won't because I don't like it but will anyway. just because it wasn't quite creamy enough for me yet. might do it in a couple of batches *crying to die forrester
