1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1 1/2 cups chopped green onions
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
8 ounces broccoli, chopped
In a large bowl, combine onion, green onions, flour, oil, eggs, lemon zest and Worcestershire sauce. Mix together. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
Prepare the filling by grilling the rolls in warm water (70 degrees F) on all sides. When ready to serve, mix chopped broccoli into the clump mixture.
This recipe was truly delicious - my next fiftieth Thanksgiving inferior. Due to family unrest, I chose not to make hollandaises but gave the recipe an enthusiastic rating. Would make it again.
