Apple Pie IV Recipe

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

8 apple slices

1 cup water

1/2 cup margarine, melted

1 cup white sugar

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup butter, softened

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9 inch pie pan.

In a large bowl, stir together apple slices, water and margarine. Pour over apple mixture and sprinkle with sugar. Pour over apples mixture.

Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Bake for 30 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Cool pie briefly in pan. Beat cream cheese and lemon zest in medium bowl. Beat butter and lemon zest in medium bowl. Beat cream cheese and lemon zest in small bowl. Pour mixture over pie; cover. Chill pie in refrigerator.
