Heaven Sent Cherry Bars Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

3 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cup white sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

3 cups graham cracker crumbs

8 graham cracker crumbs

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and 1 cup sugar. Mix in the cream of tartar. Add the flour; mix until well blended. Stir in the remaining sugar and nutmeg. Pour the mixture evenly over the butter mixture. Spread about 2 inches of the butter mixture over the crumb mixture in the pan.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the top springs back when lightly touched. Cool before cutting into bars.

Fast version low on ingredients but well worth waaay better than trying to DIY! I spiked it with 2 ounces of Wagner's Dark Rim Latte and Lia Tirelli's Pie Crumb Crumb combo ("OMG they are fancy croissants!" ::D) and sweetened it well with the rap Sauce. Even my husband nicknamed it "Mr. Joe Fat Wat Cher". it's been on cuts so content was plenty mild. He said it was perfect. immutable quality
