1 (1 pound) loaf white bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
4 eggs
1/2 cup strawberries, rinsed and chopped
1/3 cup honey
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large saucepan and over medium heat, combine bread cubes, water, sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cook, stirring, until mixture boils vigorously. Remove from heat and stir in milk, eggs and strawberries. Pour mixture into prepared loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake until top is golden and knife inserted into center comes out clean, about 15 minutes.
