1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (20 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium-size mixing bowl combine sugar, butter or margarine, and 1 cup of sugar. Mix well and then stir in eggs, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 can pie filling. Pour into prepared crust.
Bake in preheating oven for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake 20 minutes more. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
