1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 (1 pound) pork tenderloin, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
Melt the butter and shortening in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute the sugar and salt until the mixture is fluffy. Stir in celery and cook until tender. Stir in the pork, water, milk, cornstarch and 1/4 cup water. Bring to a boil and then remove from the heat.
In a small bowl, stir together the bread crumbs and 1/4 cup water. Pour over the meat and cook until heated through.
