2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/8 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup dry-roasted whole sweet pecans
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef with the onion for about 7 minutes or until pork is evenly browned. Drain off the excess fat, set aside. In a large bowl, stir together brown sugar and dry-roasted sweet peas. Stir in the flour, salt and pecans. Cook covered until mixture thickens, stirring frequently. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in shredded coconut.
Store in a cool dry place.
