2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon prepared extract
1/2 teaspoon water
3 tablespoons butter, melted
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Remove skins from potatoes, and break them into 3/4 cup size pieces.
In a large saucepan, combine flour and salt; set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, flour mixture and liquid until smooth. Stir in potatoes; gradually stir in milk mixture. Serve hot or room temperature.
Place 1/2 cup butter in a shallow dish in the oven to melt. Heat butter over medium heat, and pour potatoes and milk mixture into a shallow baking dish. Cover, and bake for 1 hour or until center is firm and pepper is heated through. Cool 10 minutes; stir. Serve hot with sauce.
