2 1/2 pounds canned beef stew mix
2 1/2 cups dried beans
1 cup frozen broccoli, thawed and rinsed
1/4 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ice water
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
5 cups tomatoes, chopped
6 cups water
1 cup French fries
salt and pepper to taste
Place entire package of vegetables in a large saucepan and cover partially with cold water. Bring water to a boil, then reduce temperature to medium-low and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, or until beef is well done and is no longer pink in center. Add additional cold water if necessary while cooking.
