Easy Chicken Marinade Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup white sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 (4 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces

Directions

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute water, sugar and salt until butter is melted. Stir in pepper, chicken and 1/2 of the whole chicken. Return to heat. Pour over butter and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until chicken juices run clear. Serve immediately.

These were pretty good, but I thought the spinach smelled burning and it wasn't enough for my family. This is probably because I used a can of diced tomatoes with the spinach, and added extra 1/2 tsp. kosher salt. But other than that, they all said it was perfect.
