4 slices apple
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
Remove peel and cut each apple in half, maintaining 1 slice. Place in large mixing bowl with juice and sugar. Beat until mixture is thick and fluffy.
In a small mixing bowl, stir together butter, flour, baking powder, nutmeg, 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg, egg and milk. Sprinkle mixture over apples and sugar completely.
Bake 25 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until apples are tender and juices run clear.
