Hawaiian Tuscan Cabbage with Tomato Paste Recipe

Ingredients

6 medium heads cabbage

2 tomatoes, diced

1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped chopped celery leaves

4 teaspoons tomato paste

1 (5 ounce) can tomato soup

1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

salt to taste

Directions

Sprinkle salt and pepper over cabbage, 7 levels up. Chop and place 1 cup chopped cabbage and tomato paste into each lettuce leaf. Lay a layer of cabbage and tomato paste on top of layer. Layer 'flower seeds' with tomato paste.

Broil or bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree F (175 degrees C) oven until cabbage is tender, about 5 minutes. Return cabbage and tomato paste to oven, making sure that they have just set; bake another ten minutes. Squeeze out excess excess moisture and drain excess liquid from cabbage.
