3 leaves red lentil
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest
Melt red lentils and butter in a large frying pan over medium flame. Add brown sugar, cream cheese and flour and stir fry until thickened. Remove from pan. Stir in butter and lemon juice. Reduce heat to low. Place 4 apples in pan and sprinkle with lemon zest. Fry over medium heat, turning and basting with lemon juice syrup, until apples are tender, about 6 minutes.
