1 cup butter, softened
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 (15 ounce) can sauerkraut
2 tablespoons pork sauce
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup sliced almonds
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cups bread flour
3 teaspoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
4 cinnamon sticks, crushed
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch pan.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, lemon juice, sauerkraut, pork sauce and eggs. Beat in the flour, brown sugar mixture. Stir in the sauerkraut, almonds and lemon juice. Beat in the bread flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir well.
Layer loaf of bread and sliced loaf of cheese on top of the recipe mixture. Spread chocolate chips over top.
Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
