1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Beat the butter, granulated sugar and vanilla in small bowl until smooth. beat in the oil, egg and brown sugar until blended. mix well.
Stir the brown sugar and flour into creamed mixture along with the baking powder and baking soda until just blended. Fold in the peanut butter. Spread evenly on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until center of the biscuit is almost set. Allow to cool.
