Cheddar Burgundy Recipe

Ingredients

3 pounds sliced bacon

3 pounds sliced mushrooms

3 3/4 cups heavy cream

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (16 ounce) can pimento cheese, drained

1 (4 ounce) can cream cheese, cream cheese, or sharp processed cheese food, e.g. Cheddar cheese

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup butter

1 1/2 cups chopped onion

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

salt to taste

ground black pepper to taste

1 (16 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (16 ounce) can cream cheese, softened

Directions

Preheat oven broiler.

Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until crisp. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon, keeping grease on cooking pan. Brown the mushrooms, mushrooms, and bacon evenly over the bottom of the large baking dish.

Mix the cream cheese, cream cheese, bacon, mushrooms, and bacon into the pan. Mix well. Fold the mixture into the cream cheese mixture, making sure that there is always grease on bottom.

Place mushrooms and bacon on the prepared baking sheet over the cream cheese mixture.

Broil about 5 minutes in the preheated oven. Cover the mushrooms and bacon, and let them steam in the oven about 45 minutes.
