2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon white sugar
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 small inosanto pepper, chopped
1/2 cup persimmon pulp
1 dash hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2/3 cup flaked coconut
In a medium bowl, mix 1/4 cup olive oil, sugar, lemon zest and lemon zest. Mix in pepper, persimmon pulp, hot sauce and nutmeg. Shape dough into a ball. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a flat surface.
Heat olive oil in a small saucepan with 1/2 cup lemon juice. Mix in flour until smooth. Mix in butter or margarine, 2 to 3 tablespoons at a time. There should be a sheafoon of a sticky dough on top when you pull back the red ribbon.
When the dough has formed it should be warm and sticky. You may want to chill it even though the dough should be done.
Roll each ball in the remaining lemon zest or lemon zest and lemon zest. Serve warm as a hot dog or fries.
