Cheese Grits Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper

1 (1 ounce) square unsalted butter or margarine, softened

1 tablespoon vinegar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 bay leaf

1 cup sour cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Dissolve the Parmesan cheese in cold water. Let stand for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Mix cream cheese and onion in large bowl. Blend in green pepper, bell pepper and butter. Mix in vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning and bay leaf. Pour over cream cheese mixture.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown. Reduce heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and continue baking for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
