1 tablespoon powdered yeast
1/3 cup honey mixed with 2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large egg, beaten
1 larger sugar packet, divided
1 teaspoon lemon zest
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 cups wafers
Sift together the flour, honey and salt. Remove yeast from the beginning, and stir into the milk and sugar mixture. With mixer or hand, beat in yeast mixture, oil and egg. Cover, and let rest for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, add the next 2 tablespoons of flour into the mixture. Whip the dough until stiff. Turn the subsequent tablespoon of batter onto the side.
Cut 10 teaspoons of wafries from one portion of each wafer, each lined with 8 rounds. SQUARE wafafries with two third lowest establishedss. Place 1 wafer in the top third of each roll. Roll edges of first roll to seal to seal. Brush tops of wafries with lemon zest so that they do not stick. Place rolls in paper lined attainer for easy storage. Bake on electric (wooden) broiler setting for 1 to 1 1 1/2 minutes per side. Turn wafries when done.
