2 pounds pork roast
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules
Place all ingredients in large stockpot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, remove covers and cook covered 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in water, cornstarch, salt, sugar, onion powder, salt, pepper and thyme. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to a low simmer. Cover and simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in bouillon granules. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove pork from pan, discard liquid and reserve.
