2 eggs
2 1/2 tablespoons butter , melted
2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
6 slices French bread
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, flour, and apples with basting water until well coated. Stir in pieces of French bread. Shape loaf into 1 inch thick slices.
Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes, until lightly browned. (Note: Don't make the mistake of removing pan from oven; turn oven off.)
Very good and easy recipe. I taste-mixed it up because I used wild rice, normal amount of broth, added 2 cloves of diced garlic, and added 1 dash of baking powder. Kitchen lived up with it--had to be hived for hours! Thick and delicious.
